Development of the Westchase Community began in 1991 and has been a premier area for families to move since. The expansive 2000 acres was a mixed-use agricultural area that has been transformed into almost 3,400 homes separated into 29 neighborhoods called villages and some of those are even subdivided out into “sub-villages.” They each have their own flair and ambiance about them, and gives those shopping for a home many options and price ranges.
Part of Westchase’s design was to provide families access to recreational and outdoor activities that would improve and promote healthier lifestyles. They did an incredible job. Playgrounds located throughout the “villages” and are dotted along the different subdivisions. Joggers, walkers and kids alike are constantly snaking along the interconnected sidewalks and paths which have multiple workout stations providing no need for the gym.

Eight lap lanes for those that want to compete or a shaded toddler pool for the little ones that’s pretty popular. Hours change depending on the time of year, so be sure to check before you go. This is available to all home owners.
